Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is commonly observed in people age over 40. But nowadays not only in Korea but also in many countries more people are diagnosed at young age under 40. Young-onset of diabetes can increase the risk of complications including chronic kidney disease (CKD) and consequently, increase the possibility unable to maintain a healthy life style. Recently two new classes of diabetes treatments, sodium glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and glucagon-like peptide 1receptor agonists (GLP1RA) have been invented and expanded treatment options for diabetic kidney disease (DKD). In this study we performed lipidomic analysis of kidney cortex samples of homozygous Leptin receptor knockout mouse model groups and performed relative quantification by using Ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS), dynamic multiple reaction monitoring (dMRM) scan mode and Imaging Mass Spectrometry (IMS). As a result, we identified and quantified total 402 lipid species in 27 lipid classes and found out lipid composition has been changed in dbdb compared to dbm. Furthermore, their lipid profiling dataset was statistically analyzed by using principal component analysis and compared to dbm.
