Opening for Postdoctoral Scholar positions

Young-Sam Lee lab at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry,
College of Medicine, University of Kentucky is looking for new postdoctoral scholars.
Successful candidates will join an ongoing NIH-funded research project aiming to
decipher how abnormal metabolism regulates physiological and pathological processes.
This is a multi-disciplinary research project using protein biochemistry, mass
spectrometry, enzymology, cell biology and/or mouse experiments (Keller et al., 2012,
Science 338:1069-72; Keller et al., 2014, Molecular Cell 53:700-709; Yan et al., 2016,
Biochemistry, 55:4731-6). Candidates who have previous experiences in enzyme kinetics,
mass spectrometry, mammalian tissue culture, and/or mouse xenograft experiments are
preferable. Intellectual curiosity, independent research ability, and work ethics are musts.
The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry
(https://biochemistry.med.uky.edu/) is one of seven basic science departments in the
College of Medicine, University of Kentucky. States-of-arts facilities, including mass
spectrometry facilities, protein biochemistry facilities, and microscopy core, are available.
Stipend (according to the NIH postdoctoral stipend scale, $54,950 for postdoctoral
scholars with 0-1 year experience) and benefits (https://www.uky.edu/hr/home) will be
provided. Work hours are flexible. The starting date is negotiable but preferably in the
Summer or the Fall 2021. Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae,
